Musical Theatre & Acting

Growing up with a musical family Kyro has been in love with the stage since she started dancing at the age of 3, her interests grew to include acting, singing and musical theatre. Highlights of Kyro’s performance career include playing “Sophie” in Mama Mia, “Cosette” in Les Miserables, and “Juliet” in Romeo and Juliet.

She started directing and teaching while still in high school. She completed her Bachelor Degree at University of Lethbridge. She has recently relocated to Edmonton and is excited to join the team at Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts to share her passion for the performing arts with students of all ages.

Taylor

Dance & Voice

After beginning her VCPA journey at 12 months old, Taylor has always known performing was her passion. Taylor studied piano, guitar, and voice for many years before adding dance into the mix at the age of 10; focusing on intensive hip-hop, jazz, and lyrical. 

Taylor first discovered her love of teaching through dance, and began student teaching at the age of 12.

She has traveled throughout North America for various performing opportunities such as high profile showcases, festivals, auditions and recording sessions. Taylor feels at home on the stage, and loves to help others seize the moment, and enjoy their performance to the fullest! She is thrilled to be able to inspire a new generation of performers back where her story began.

Kailin

Acting & Musical Theatre

Kailin is a triple threat performer. Her love of the stage started with dance at 2.5. She quickly moved into competitive dance, singing and acting. She has won several scholarships but her most memorable performances include playing Elsa in "Frozen jr.", Miriam in "A Village of Idiots", and Ghost of Christmas Past in "A Christmas Carol".


Kailin models professionally and continues to train classical voice as well as attending the BFA in Musical Theatre at Grant MacEwan University. Kailin believes there is a performer in everyone. her inclusive style of teaching and choreography helps each student build confidence and most of all have fun doing it.

Malachi

Acting • South Edmonton

Malachi Short is an Edmonton based theatre actor and singer. He has been singing as long as he could remember and is currently in the BFA Musical Theatre program at MacEwan University. Some of his past credits include Beauty and the Beast (Festival Place 2022), Mrs. Galahad in Monty Python's Spamalot (Victoria School of the Arts 2022) and Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Elope Musical Theatre 2023). He enjoys teaching and sharing his passion for acting, improv and singing with the next generation of performers. His patient and supportive personality creates an inclusive space where students are free to develop their full potential.

Starting at $113 / Month

Private lessons are based on teacher experience and length of the lesson. We offer half hour, 45 minute, and 1 hour lessons. We accept pre-authorized payments by Visa, Mastercard, and Direct Debit.

Teacher schedules and availability are subject to change and private lesson spots can not be held without payment.
