Performance anxiety is just the tip of the iceberg for young musicians and performers. Many young people experience a variety of mental health symptoms at school, in extra curriculars and in their relationships.

The mental health and wellness class is dedicated to helping students learn about wellness, life skills, coping strategies, emotional regulation, time management, and what it means to be healthy. Through expressive arts, performance, and educational sessions, students will get to connect with one another in a judgement-free environment where they can expand their potential and find ways to lead a healthy, creative life.

Goals

  • Introduce students to methods for wellness in their lives
  • Relieve anxiety in music, school, social settings
  • Provide tools for anxiety, fear, panic, stress, time management, focus, & fatigue
  • Engage in creative self expression through music and performance art
  • Creative a safe community free of judgement and bullying where students can make
meaningful relationships with others, and themselves
